My name is Laura, and these are my confessions.

I am a 28 year old working in the IT industry as a Systems Administrator/Web Programmer. I work from home, but get in to the office whenever possible. And I love my job.

girlstar.org has been around since 2000. I started blogging before a CMS was ever available - editing index.html every time I wanted to post was a pain in the butt. It’s basically all about me, and that’s the way I like it!

I’ve been coding websites since I was 18 , when I decided I wanted to impress my then-internet boyfriend Tim. I kept coding when we broke up but little did I know that 8 years later, we would meet up again and realise that we were meant to be together. So, for the time being I am living in England and trying to experience as much of Europe as possible!

I’m originally from Canada, where I used to teach and take dance classes on an almost daily basis. That’s on hold for now, but I am really looking forward to running that dance studio when I go back. My favourite kind of dance is tap.. followed closely by Musical Comedy!

I am a MAC cosmetics addict, and have been using their products since I was in highschool.. so you can bet I have quite the collection! I also love to shop for clothes, shoes, handbags, and anything girly!

I love traveling, though I hate flying. My favourite weekends involve shopping in London or Milton Keynes. I also like to spend my weekends riding my bike with my boyfriend.

I love watching hockey, especially the Montreal Canadiens. I also watch a lot of TV shows that I have to download - The Hills, Gossip Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Chuck, Samantha Who, 90210, Lipstick Jungle, The Office, and Family Guy. And I will always watch reruns of Sex and the City and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I am also Mommy to a 130lb Newfoundland dog named Winnie, who currently lives with my parents in Canada.
